DESCRIPTION

What does this flow do?

Use this flow to extract data from a large number of PDFs (in a ZIP file) and write it to a Google Sheet.

Here's how it works:

  • Upload a ZIP file of similarly formatted PDFs to the "Zip File Reader" node

  • Extract Data node extracts data from PDFs (according to the specified data headers)

  • Google Sheets Writer node writes PDFs data to a Google Sheet

When to Use

Use this flow when you have large quantities of PDFs archived in ZIP files requiring systematic data extraction. Ideal for scenarios like invoice processing, report analysis, or record aggregation from multiple PDF sources.

Requirements

⚠️ READ BEFORE USING!

This flow is configured for a hypothetical example ZIP file/PDFs. In order to use it properly for your own PDFs, you'll need to do the following

  • Authenticate with Google Sheets

  • Define the data header types you want to extract from the PDFs in the Extract Data node

  • Create a Google Sheet with headers for the desired data types

  • Paste the link for the Google Sheet in the Google Sheets Writer node

  • In the Google Sheets Writer node, map the outputs from the Extract Data node to correct Google Sheets columns

HOW DO YOU SET THIS UP?

1.

Authenticate with Google Sheets

2.

Define data header types

Be sure to configure the appropriate Data outputs, with names, data types and descriptions. You may also want to add extra info in the Additional Context section.

3.

Create a Google Sheet with appropriate headers

Input the URL of the target Google Sheets spreadsheet where the extracted data will be entered.

4.

Paste the Google Sheets link in the Google Sheets Writer node

5.

Map outputs from the Extract Data node to the headers in the Google Sheet
